Delete your Kioku account

Delete it in the app

Open Kioku and log in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile → Delete account.
Tap Email me a code and enter the 6-digit code we send to your account's email.
Type DELETE and tap Delete my account forever.

Delete it without the app

Email support@kioku.tech from the email address of your account with the subject “Delete my Kioku account”. We may ask you to confirm before deleting. We complete requests within 30 days and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Your account: email address, display name, password hash and linked Google account ID.
Everything synced to it: your word collection, review history, experience points, practice timings, settings and device records.

Data is removed from our live databases immediately. Residual copies in backups, if any, are removed as backups rotate. We don't keep any of your account data after deletion.

Words saved on your phone stay there. Deleting your account removes it from our servers; the app's local copy on your device is yours. To remove it too, use Profile → Reset progress or uninstall the app.

Used Kioku without an account? Then we have no account data to delete — everything is on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
